Gwadar is a port city on the southwestern coast of Pakistan, located in the province of Balochistan. It is situated near the border with Iran and is strategically positioned at the entrance of the Persian Gulf. The city has gained international significance due to the development of the Gwadar Port, which is considered a key component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to the “Gwadar Smart City Master Plan,” which was developed by Chinese state builder China Communications Construction Company in conjunction with Pakistan’s Planning Ministry and Reform and the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), the port city in Pakistan is slated to grow into the next major trading hub in South Asia.
